Robert Allen Zimmerman  sinh ngày 24 tháng 5 năm 1941, tiếng Hebrew [Shabtai Zisl ben Avraham], được biết đến với nghệ danh Bob Dylan, là ca sĩ, nhạc sĩ, diễn viên, họa sĩ, nhà văn và nhà biên kịch người Mỹ. Ông là một trong những nghệ sĩ có ảnh hưởng nhất tới nền âm nhạc nói riêng và văn hóa thế giới nói chung trong suốt năm thập kỷ trở lại đây.  Một số ca khúc đầu tay của Dylan, tiêu biểu là "Blowin' in the Wind" và "The Times They Are a-Changin'", mô tả các hoạt động nhân quyền và phản chiến. James Marshall "Jimi" Hendrix (tên khai sinh Johnny Allen Hendrix; 27 tháng 11 năm 1942 – 18 tháng 9 năm 1970) là một nghệ sĩ ghi ta người Mỹ gốc Phi. Hendrix được đánh giá là một trong những nghệ sĩ âm nhạc có ảnh hưởng nhất trong lịch sử nhạc rock and roll .Sau khi đã thành danh ở Anh, ông trở nên nổi tiếng thế giới với buổi biểu diễn âm nhạc tại Monterey Pop Festival năm 1967. Ông cũng đã được Rolling Stone bình chọn là nghệ sĩ ghi ta vĩ đại nhất trong lịch sử và là nghệ sĩ thứ 5 trong danh sách 100 nghệ sĩ của mọi thời đại. Hendrix đã tự học chơi đàn ghita điện, ông thường chơi đàn Fender Stratocaster để ngược và luôn tự lên dây đàn để phù hợp với cách chơi của mình.
